I have coumined the accompanying Ordinance, entilled

An Ordinance to facilitate the admission in evidence

of statutes passed by the Legislatures of British possessions and British protectorates, including

Cyprus,

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions

The object of this Ordinance is to facilitate in this

Colony proof of the Statute law of other British possess-

-ions.

This Ordinance is founded mutatis mutandis, upon the lines of the recent English Art known as the Evidence

(Colonial Statutes) Act 1907.
